About Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program
The Fulbright Program Visiting Scholar Program enables Zimbabwean university faculty and researchers to conduct advanced research or curriculum development at U.S. academic and research institutions for a period of 3 to 9 months.
Benefits of Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program
These grants support university faculty or research institute professionals in conducting research within their academic discipline at a U.S. academic or research institution.
- Curriculum Development Grants:
These grants are available to university faculty or administrators who wish to develop new courses or enhance existing curricula at a U.S. academic institution.
Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program Requirements
- Currently employed at a tertiary or research institution in Zimbabwe.
- Applicants must be Zimbabwe citizens, or permanent residents qualified to hold a valid Zimbabwean passport.
- Applicants for research grants must hold a doctorate degree or equivalent terminal degree in their fields at the time of application.
- For the curriculum development category, a doctorate is not compulsory; however, applicants must possess a master’s degree or an equivalent graduate qualification.
- A strong record of academic and professional achievement, as well as solid preparation in their chosen field.
