About UA Ruhr Research Academy - Research Explorer Ruhr Summer Program
Research Explorer Ruhr (RER) is a two-week-program for international early postdoctoral researchers (to-be) interested in exploring the research landscape of the University Alliance Ruhr.

UA Ruhr Research Academy - Research Explorer Ruhr Summer Program Requirements
- International doctoral researchers who have submitted their thesis and recent international postdocs are encouraged to apply.
- This fully funded postdoctoral summer research program in Germany is open to Final-stage doctoral candidates and early-career postdocs (within one year of their degree).
- Moreover, applicants for this international summer research program must have a strong research background in their academic field.
- In addition, applicants must be willing to explore research opportunities and work with professors in Germany’s Ruhr Area.
- Ruhr Summer Program is conducted entirely in English, so you must be fluent in English.
- Lastly, applicants must be available to attend the full two-week program from 21 June to 4 July 2026 in Germany.
