Opportunity Details
POST and Midlands Innovation are offering two 13-week fellowships to PhD students registered at participating Midlands Innovation institutions, who are undertaking or have recently completed their PhD study in a topic related to biological sciences and health, and/or social sciences.
1. The opportunity will be funded by Midlands Innovation. Successful candidates will receive a stipend payment comprised of:
2. Successful candidates will receive one payment to cover the costs of the fellowship, made from their university directly to them. The payment will be made after security clearance has been granted, approximately one month before the start of the placement.
3. For all Fellows, travel, accommodation and any caring costs incurred as part of the fellowship will also need to be paid from the payment above.
Participating Midlands Innovation institutions:
- Please note that PhD students from other Midlands Innovation partners (Aston University, Cranfield University, Keele University and University of Nottingham) are not eligible to apply for this fellowship.
- We can confirm that for this 2025-26 round of the Midlands Innovation POST Fellowship, first year PhD students are eligible to apply.
- Please note that other POST fellowships are not open to first year students, and future Midlands Innovation POST Fellowships might not be open to first year students.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete pre-employment checks. This includes security vetting to Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) level. All successful candidates are required to pass these checks before an offer can be confirmed.
