Umeå University - IceLab Postdoctoral Fellowship Scholarship Requirements
- Completed a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a doctoral degree
- Priority given to candidates who completed their doctoral degree no later than three years prior to the decision date
- Experience in data analytics, computational modeling, programming, mathematics, statistics, physics, molecular biology, microbiology, ecology, or systems biology
- Personal qualities: collaboration, communication, strong drive and motivation, critical thinking, creativity, analytical skills
- Ability to take on research independently and as part of a team
- Good knowledge of oral and written English
Application Date and Process
- Submit a cover letter clearly stating which project(s) you are interested in, summarizing qualifications, scientific interests, and motives (max 2 pages)
- Provide a curriculum vitae (CV) with publication list
- Include a verified copy of doctoral degree certificate or documentation of expected degree date
- Submit certified copies of other diplomas, list of completed academic courses and grades
- Attach a copy of doctoral thesis
- Include copies of relevant publications
- Provide contact information for at least two reference persons
- Add any other documents the applicant wishes to claim
- Application must be written in English or Swedish, attached documents in Word or PDF format
- Register via Umeå University’s e-recruitment system Varbi by the deadline 17th of September 2026
