About UNOY Internship: Communications Officer

UNOY is a youth-led network of over 120 youth organisations working towards more peaceful societies. We embrace values of peace, diversity, inclusion, and meaningful participation. At UNOY, young people have the opportunity to gain work experience in the field of peacebuilding, join an international team, develop new skills, and connect with young people and organisations around the world. All interns are supported by a supervisor in identifying their personal learning goals, training opportunities, and monitoring progress throughout the internship.

UNOY Internship: Communications Officer Requirements

We are looking for somebody who has:

  • Experience or a strong interest in peacebuilding, youth work, and communications;
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills (in English); other languages are an asset!
  • Some experience in graphic design and video editing;
  • Some experience in online communications and social media platforms;
  • Familiarity with Wordpress, Mailchimp and Canva (desirable);
  • Planning, organisational, and intercultural communication skills;
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and a problem-solving mindset;
  • Flexibility and capacity to work independently, as well as in a team;
  • A higher education degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) on a topic related to youth, peace, conflict or international relations. We can also accept candidates who are in their last year of undergraduate degree.
