An ESRC-funded PhD studentship through CAM-DTP supports 3.5 – 4.5 years of full-time study. We particularly encourage applications from students wishing to study on a part-time basis (minimum 50% of full-time).

University of Cambridge ESRC-funded PhD Studentship Program for International Students Requirements
- Applicants with at least a Bachelor’s degree (preferably with distinction/first-class equivalent).
- Open to Home (UK) and International students.
- Must meet Cambridge’s English language requirements.
- Students must first secure an offer of admission before being considered for CAM-DTP funding
Application Date and Process
- Apply for admission to your chosen Cambridge department.
- If offered admission, the department may nominate you for CAM-DTP funding (Feb 2026).
- Alternatively, apply via a listed research topic by contacting the supervisory team before submission.
- Final nominations for funding are made in February 2026.
