About University of Hull Black Students in Law Scholarship
Black Students in Law scholarship is an opportunity for applicants of Black heritage who are looking to commence undergraduate studies in a law-related subject at the University of Hull. This award provides a bursary to support study and widen participation in the legal profession. The scholarship is provided by the University of Hull and is open to UK/home applicants commencing law-related undergraduate programmes.

University of Hull Black Students in Law Scholarship Requirements
- Self-identify as coming from a black heritage background. This may include applicants from the following: Black or Black British – Caribbean
- Black or Black British – African
- Mixed – White and Black Caribbean
- Mixed – White and Black African
- Other Black background
- Applicants must be fee payers at home-tuition rate.
- Have a household income of below £25,000 (as verified by Student Finance England).
- Hold at least a conditional offer with the University of Hull for a law-related programme of study.
- Have confirmed their law-related programme of study at the University of Hull as their firm choice via the applicant portal.
Application Date and Process
- Apply for an LLB or other law-related programme at the University of Hull.
- Hold at least a conditional offer to study a law-related programme at Hull.
- Provide short written responses to questions on the scholarship application form; answers will play a key part in decision-making.
- Submit the scholarship application via the application button/link before the closing date (14:00 on 28 August 2026).
