University of Waikato Doctoral Scholarship Requirements
- Completed a Bachelor with Honours or a Master’s degree with a significant research component
- Research component must be a thesis, dissertation, or research project making up at least 25% of one year’s study of the entry qualification
- Research methods papers are not counted as a research component
- Master’s degrees that do not meet the research component requirements are not qualifying degrees
- Achieved a minimum of Second Class, First Division in the qualifying degree
- International students must meet the University of Waikato English language requirements
