About University of Waikato Scholarship
University of Waikato Scholarship supports doctoral research at the University of Waikato and offers a stipend and tuition support for eligible PhD candidates. The Waikato Scholarship is available to domestic and international students who meet the university’s doctoral admission requirements and obtain an Invitation to Apply.
The scholarship is provided by the University of Waikato in New Zealand and is intended to fund doctoral research across eligible research areas. Applicants must secure a supervisor, meet academic standards (normally Second Class, First Division), and complete the doctoral admission process before applying.

- Applicants should normally have achieved at least Second Class, First Division in their qualifying degree.
- Applicants must meet the University of Waikato’s doctoral admission requirements.
