The Victorian Government Department of Transport and Planning has opened applications for its Community Road Safety Grants Program 2026-2027. Interested applicants are encouraged to click here to learn more about this opportunity and apply for it.
The Community Road Safety Grants Program provides funding to empower local communities to prevent serious injuries and reduce the number of lives lost on Victoria’s roads.
Cyclist Programs: Bike Ed Challenges up to $6,000; bike and trailer maintenance $65 per bike, $1,000 per trailer
Safe Routes to School Projects: Up to $24,000 per applicant
Motorized Mobility Device & Walk with Care Sessions: $250 per session
Driver Programs: Road Safety for New Arrivals up to $5,000 + driving lessons; Safe Driver sessions $250 per session
Roadside Signage Initiatives: Up to $10,000 per applicant
Local Road Safety Innovation: Up to $20,000 per project category
To be funded under our community road safety grant program, you must represent an organisation that is:
If your organisation does not meet the above criteria, you must nominate an eligible auspice organisation to apply for a grant. Auspice organisations must meet the above criteria and can include LGAs.
