About Victorian Government Early Childhood PRT Grants Program
The department offers grants to approved providers to support provisionally registered early childhood teachers (PRTs) to move to full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
Benefits of Victorian Government Early Childhood PRT Grants Program
- Funding is $3,370.40 (excluding GST) per eligible provisionally registered teacher.
Victorian Government Early Childhood PRT Grants Program Requirements
- Applicants – Approved providers of early childhood services or authorised representatives.
- Teachers – Must be employed at a state-funded kindergarten service in Victoria. Must be provisionally registered with the VIT. Must be supported to achieve full registration within 12 months.
- Service Requirements – Service must deliver a state-funded kindergarten program. Service must be listed in the Kindergarten Information Management System (KIMS) as funded.
- Compliance – Applicants must follow all program terms and conditions, including providing the required privacy statement. Previous funding recipients must have complied with earlier program requirements.
