About Warburg/I Tatti Joint Fellowship for Early and Mid-Career Scholars

The Warburg/I Tatti Joint Fellowship Program offers early and mid-career scholars a residential fellowship to pursue advanced research on the Italian Renaissance and its global connections in London and Florence. The fellowship brings together scholars from around the world and encourages interdisciplinary research using the academic, library, and archival resources of both institutions.

• Fellows receive USD 5,200 per month during the spring term in Florence.

Warburg/I Tatti Joint Fellowship for Early and Mid-Career Scholars Requirements

The fellowship is open to early and mid-career scholars of any nationality.

Applicants must:

• Hold a PhD at the time of application.
• Have a strong background in Italian Renaissance Studies.
• Be conversant in English.
• Have at least a reading knowledge of Italian.
• Propose an advanced research project relevant to the fellowship’s focus.

Scholars from different disciplinary backgrounds are encouraged to apply where their research connects meaningfully with Italian Renaissance Studies.
