About WaterAid Movement Building Grant

The Movement Building Grant under the Climate Resilient WASH Financing Mechanism (CRWFM) supports Ghana-based organizations, networks, and affiliated groups working to advance climate justice, water justice, advocacy, and collective action. The grant is designed to strengthen community voices, build coalitions, influence policy, improve water governance, and promote more equitable access to water resources.

Benefits of WaterAid Movement Building Grant

• Eligible applicants can request up to GHS 70,000 from the CRWFM for movement-building and advocacy initiatives.

WaterAid Movement Building Grant Requirements

The Movement Building Grant is open to a broad range of organizations and groups connected to Ghana.

Eligible applicants include:

• Women-led community-based organizations.
• Women co-led community-based organizations.
• Grassroots networks.
• Civil society organizations.
• NGOs.
• Youth-led advocacy groups.
• Faith-based organizations.
• Cultural organizations.
• Academic institutions.
• Research institutions working with community actors.
• Other Ghana-based entities meeting the programme requirements.

Organizations based outside Ghana may also be eligible if they can demonstrate a documented affiliation with a Ghana-based organization whose mandate they support.
