The Waterloo Region Community Foundation (WRCF) Community Grants program supports projects that build stronger, more connected communities across Waterloo Region.The program funds initiatives that activate publicly accessible shared spaces and create opportunities for meaningful social interaction.The focus is on strengthening social infrastructure to enhance belonging, civic participation, and wellbeing.
Two grant levels:
Spark: $5,000–$10,000
Scale: $10,001–$30,000
Eligible applicants must:
Be based in Waterloo Region
Provide services to residents of one or more of the following municipalities:
Cambridge
Kitchener
North Dumfries
Waterloo
Wellesley
Wilmot
Woolwich
Organizations must be one of the following:
Registered charitable organizations
Qualified donees recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
Nonprofit organizations working with a registered charitable organization or qualified donee acting as a Charitable Partner
