About Waterloo Region Small Business Centre - Early Sparks Program
The Early Sparks Program is a five-week entrepreneurship training initiative for residents of Waterloo Region who have a new business idea but have not yet registered a business in Ontario. The programme helps aspiring entrepreneurs refine their ideas, develop a roadmap toward a business plan, build business relationships and gain practical tools and confidence to move from concept to execution.

Waterloo Region Small Business Centre - Early Sparks Program Requirements
Applicants must meet the programme’s core eligibility requirements.
You must:
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Be a resident of Waterloo Region.
- Have a new business idea.
- Not currently be a registered business owner in Ontario.
- Commit to participating in the full five-week programme.
- Commit at least 8 hours per week to working on your business idea.
