About Watson Institute Halloran Fellowship
The Halloran Fellowship powered by Watson Institute, will provide robust entrepreneurial training, mentorship, and venture development stipends to aspiring, early-stage entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders in the Bradford, Pennsylvania area. Fellows will deepen and expand the local entrepreneurial ecosystem with new and innovative ideas and ventures.

Watson Institute Halloran Fellowship Requirements
- Adults 18 or older. Open to community members in Bradford, PA and surrounding areas, as well as University of Pittsburgh at Bradford students.
- You are a student at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, and/or an individual in the Bradford, PA and surrounding areas who has an idea to start a business of their own, or has recently started one. Or, you are a student with a mock idea interested in completing the program while walking alongside real entrepreneurs.
- You have an initial business idea with early research and planning or your business is in its first few years of operating.
- You are able to commit to a one-day immersive kickoff, weekly virtual sessions, roughly 5 in-person experiences, and a culminating in-person Summit event in Bradford, PA. You also understand that we prioritize those who can actively participate in all program elements and remain fully engaged.
- You are located in Bradford, PA or the surrounding areas and have demonstrated interest in launching, leading, or growing a business in the local community.
- You are seeking hands-on entrepreneurial training, mentorship, access to local resources, and a supportive community to help you develop your business idea, strengthen your leadership skills, and create meaningful community impact in Bradford, PA.
Application Date and Process
- Submit Your Application: Candidates complete the online application in approximately 30 minutes. Submit by the priority deadline of August 3, 2026, for early consideration. Applications will continue to be reviewed on a rolling basis until all spots are filled.
- Application Review: Our Admissions Committee evaluates applications to identify innovative entrepreneurs with scalable ventures and strong potential for impact. Early applicants receive priority consideration.
- Interview: Selected candidates will be invited to a 20-minute Zoom interview to share their entrepreneurial journey, discuss their venture’s vision for growth, and explore how the Fellowship aligns with their goals.
- Final Selection & Enrollment: Final decisions will be announced by August 20, 2026. Accepted applicants must confirm their enrollment to secure their spot. The program begins on September 6, 2026.
