About Westlake University Summer Research Internship in China
Westlake University's Summer Research Internship is a one-month program open to domestic and international students. Research internship opportunities are available in Westlake's School of Science, School of Engineering, School of Life Sciences and School of Medicine. Each summer, our interns work on research projects at the forefront of science and technology, each of them becoming a member of a team of distinguished scientists. The program also includes participation in research forums, interdisciplinary round-table discussions, and cultural activities at Westlake University as well as in the surrounding Hangzhou area.

Westlake University Summer Research Internship in China Requirements
- Eligibility: The Internship is open to all Nationals except Chinese.
- Passport: Applicants must hold a valid passport.
- Current Students: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, with expected graduation in 2027 or 2028.
- Graduates: Applicants who have already completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree can also apply.
- Educational Background:
- Biology: Background in Biology.
- Medicine: Background in Basic or Clinical Medicine.
- Engineering: Background in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, or Environmental Science and Engineering.
- Sciences: Background in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Pharmacy.
- Computer Science: Background in Computer Science and Technology.
- Related Disciplines: Applicants with backgrounds in related disciplines are also considered.
