About WeThinkCode_ Software Development Programme

WeThinkCode_ was established in 2015 and launched its inaugural cohort in 2016 in Johannesburg, South Africa. It has since grown, extending its footprint to Cape Town (2018) and Durban (2021), and is now delivering its proven curriculum at public technical vocational education and training (TVET) colleges in South Africa.

WeThinkCode_ is a South African software development academy tackling the technical skills shortage and youth unemployment. We recruit talented youth, providing specialized training to turn them into proficient backend developers in 16 months using our tailored curriculum and learning system.

WeThinkCode_ Software Development Programme Requirements

Please, ensure that you have access to the following: 

• Access to smartphone or computer and a stable internet connection.
• An email address, if you don't have one create one here.
• A valid South African mobile number.

Other requirements include: 

1. Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 35.

2. Applicants must hold one of the following:

• Valid South African ID
• Valid Passport with work permit
• Valid Asylum seekers permit

3. WeThinkCode_ is a full-time program, you will not be able to join the program if you are currently working or studying at another institution.
