Opportunity Details
Wildlife Acoustics is proud to offer a quarterly grant program that supports the advancement of wildlife research, habitat monitoring, and environmental conservation. Scientists may apply for a product grant to advance the study of bats, birds, amphibians, and other terrestrial wildlife—or a travel grant to help them attend a conference with their peers.
Standard Product Grant: Up to $12,000 USD in eligible products per quarter; individual applicants may request up to $4,000 USD in recorders, accessories, and software licenses
Software-Only Grant: Annual Kaleidoscope Pro license(s) provided via a simplified application
Travel Grant: $1,000 USD per quarter to cover conference registration, travel, and lodging for early-career researchers
Early-career researchers such as master’s students, PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows
Conservationists conducting fieldwork or research on bats, birds, amphibians, or terrestrial wildlife
Independent researchers or institutions (excluding government agencies)
Identify a project that advances wildlife research or conservation
Select the appropriate grant type: Product, Software, or Travel
Prepare an application detailing:
Project objectives and methodology
Requested products, software, or travel funding
Expected outcomes and impact on conservation or research
Submit the application through the Wildlife Acoustics online portal before the quarterly deadline
