About Wilson Center Congressional Fellowship
The Wilson Congressional Fellowship is a six-week professional development program for current Congressional staff who want to deepen their understanding of global affairs, debate major foreign policy issues, and connect with leading experts and policymakers. The fellowship brings together Congressional staffers from across the political aisle to exchange ideas, examine complex international issues, and build stronger professional networks.
The fellowship is administered by the Wilson Center, an institution that focuses on foreign policy, global affairs, and the legislative process. Sessions are designed to encourage analytical thinking, fresh perspectives, and informed debate around important international issues. Participants engage with leading foreign policy thinkers and practitioners while also taking part in an interactive simulation that promotes collaboration across the aisle.

Wilson Center Congressional Fellowship Requirements
- Be a current Congressional staff member
- Be mid- to senior-level Congressional staff
- Have a strong understanding of the legislative process
- Have an interest in foreign policy
- Aspire to pursue or continue a career focused on shaping foreign policy
- Be able to attend at least five of the six required sessions
- Not be a student, recent graduate, or member of the general public
