About Wilson Center Fellowship
Wilson Center Fellowship 2027 provides a fully funded postdoctoral opportunity for scholars, practitioners, journalists, and public intellectuals to conduct independent research while in residence at the Woodrow Wilson International Centre for Scholars in Washington, D.C. The program supports advanced research on global policy issues and offers access to extensive resources, libraries, and a vibrant intellectual community.
The Wilson Center hosts the fellowship and selects postdoctoral applicants based on academic record and their ability to advance research on policy issues. Fellows receive mentorship and opportunities to collaborate with scholars, policymakers, and experts while participating in critical policy discussions on a global scale.

Wilson Center Fellowship Requirements
- Available to all citizens or permanent residents from any country.
- Regardless of whether they are now in the country, foreign applicants must have a current passport and be eligible to get a J-1 visa.
- After completing their PhD thesis, academic candidates must be post-doctoral scholars who have written a book or monograph.
- Policymakers and practitioners must have reached a similar level of success in their careers.
- Proficiency in English is necessary for helping partners to exchange ideas.
