Apply now for the Weather and Climate Information Services (WISER) Africa co-production fellowship
Opportunity Details
Are you an early career researcher or professional based in East, West, or Southern Africa, with a strong interest in the transdisciplinary co-production of weather and climate services?
Apply now for the Weather and Climate Information Services (WISER) Africa co-production fellowship, funded by the UK government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) through the Africa Regional Climate and Nature (ARCAN) programme.
Three fellowships are being offered through this call — one in each of the following regions: East, West, and Southern Africa. They are seeking talented, early-career professionals with expertise or interest in co-production to serve as co-production champions.
Each fellow will collaborate with local and regional organisations to enhance climate services and support the WISER programme’s goals. Fellows will bridge the gap between research and community-led outcomes and champion innovative co-production practices to enhance climate resilience.
Fellowship objectives
Applicants must be nationals of a listed eligible African country. Fellows may be based at their current academic institution, provided it is in a WISER-supported country and meets due diligence requirements. Those without a current affiliation must confirm hosting arrangements before applying. West Africa fellows will be based at AGRHYMET in Niamey, Niger.
