The Woodroffe Benton Foundation aims to support intergenerational charitable initiatives that improve social, educational, environmental, and well-being outcomes across the UK. The Small Grant Programme is designed to provide accessible, one-off funding to smaller organizations and projects with local impact.
Grant Range: £500 – £2,500
Eligible applicants include:
Charitable organizations registered with:
Charity Commission for England and Wales
Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR)
Charity Commission for Northern Ireland
Educational institutions (registration not required)
Organizations with at least one full set of accounts after charity registration
Ineligible Applicants
Unregistered organizations or newly established charities (<24 months without full accounts)
Organizations operating primarily outside the UK or serving non-UK residents
Places of worship seeking restoration or facility upgrades
Museums or heritage organizations
Palliative care funding requests
Animal welfare organizations not primarily focused on environmental conservation
Students seeking tertiary education or gap year funding
Educational organizations outside Derbyshire
Local branches of national charities without separate registration and financial independence
