About WCSJ Travel Fellowship
WCSJ Travel Fellowship supports journalists, journalism students, and eligible media professionals to attend the World Conference of Science Journalists; the WCSJ Travel Fellowship helps cover travel, visa, local transport, accommodation (up to six nights), and full conference registration in London.
The fellowship is connected to WCSJ2027 and the World Conference of Science Journalists taking place at Central Hall, Westminster, London, UK (6–10 September 2027). Applicants are selected based on professional experience, a motivation statement, and a plan to share learning.

- Researchers and educators in journalism, media studies or science communication who have a proven media track record
Application Date and Process
- Review the fellowship requirements and prepare your CV, work samples, and supporting letter
- Prepare a 150–300 word professional biography
- Provide three examples of your work or relevant URLs
- Write a 500-word motivation statement
- Provide a plan explaining how you will share what you learn
- Include a supporting letter from an employer, editor, educational institution, or relevant association
- Provide passport information and details about professional experience and affiliation
- Complete the online fellowship application and submit before the deadline
