About World Literacy Foundation Youth Ambassador Program
The World Literacy Foundation’s Youth Ambassador Program is a global community that is built on Youth Power for Literacy. They empower youth aged 16–25 to lead, connect globally, and take action. They firmly believe that young people’s voices, vision, and drive are essential to tackling illiteracy. From June to September 2026, we’ll empower 1000 passionate young leaders from 60 countries to become local leaders for literacy and unite in a global effort to ensure every child has the opportunity for literacy.

World Literacy Foundation Youth Ambassador Program Requirements
They are looking for young people who meet the following criteria:
- Be 16-25 years old.
- Care deeply about literacy, education, human rights, and social impact
- Want to be part of a global community of young changemakers creating real impact
- Have access to a computer or smartphone and a reliable internet connection
- Are active on social media and excited to use their voice to advocate for literacy
- Can commit around 30 hours over the 3-month program to complete ambassador activities
- Are willing to support fundraising initiatives that help expand literacy programs worldwide
