About Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship
The Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship is a highly competitive, fully funded program for professionals from the Global South who are five to ten years into their careers and have demonstrated accomplishments in clean energy and climate change. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to expand networks, gain exposure to global leaders, and participate in a transformative leadership experience.The fellowship is hosted by the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs through its International Leadership Center. Yale University, an Ivy League institution in the USA, is renowned for its commitment to global leadership and policy. The program includes in-person weeks at Yale and in Paris, along with remote learning journeys and a collaborative group project.

Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship Requirements
- Applicants should be between five and 10 years into their professional careers
- Demonstrated accomplishments at a regional, national, or international level
- Applicants must be representatives of the Global South (Africa, Asia, Middle East, Latin America/Caribbean)
- Applicants must be fluent in English
- Climate Fellows must be available to fully participate in all parts of the program, including in-person for two weeks (Yale Orientation week February 1-5, 2027, and Paris closing week June 14-18, 2027)
- Fellows must be available to participate in six remote learning journeys (Wednesdays, 9:00 AM Eastern time)
- Fellows must be available to work on a collaborative group project between March and June 2027
