Opportunity Details
The AfricaLics PhD Visiting Fellowship Programme (VFP) – 2026 Cohort is a fully funded initiative aimed at strengthening research capacity in Innovation and Development (I&D) across Africa.
Covered: Return flights, accommodation, mentorship fees, and a monthly stipend ($600).
Health Insurance: Required; may be reimbursed.
Visa Support: Provided by AfricaLics and UJ.
Applicants: PhD students from African countries classified as low or lower-middle income by OECD/DAC.
Focus Area: Research must relate to innovation and sustainable development.
Gender & Equity: Female students and those from low-income countries are especially encouraged.
Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a PhD program at an African university and preferably have completed the first year by Dec 2025.
