About AIWA Scholarship Awards

AIWA scholarships provide a unique opportunity for donors to remember loved ones while at the same time providing much-needed financial assistance and recognition to young women preparing for their careers and professions. Beginning in 1997, with the establishment of the Agnes Missirian Scholarship Endowment, over 200 scholarships have been awarded to full-time female students of Armenian descent attending accredited colleges or universities in countries all over the world.

Benefits of AIWA Scholarship Awards

• Scholarships are funded through endowments and donations.

• Awards vary in size, ranging from $500 to $25,000 depending on the scholarship.

AIWA Scholarship Awards Requirements

• Female of Armenian descent
• Financial Need and academic merit
• Full-Time Student Only
• Attend Accredited University/College
• Applicants must be entering their 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate education (applicants residing in the state of California may apply when entering their 2nd year), or be a graduate student, in the fall of 2026.
• 3.2 Minimum GPA
• Official Copy of University/College Transcripts
• Two Letters of Recommendation
• A high-resolution photograph of the applicant
• Completed application
