Opportunity Details
The Science by Women fellowship is designed to empower African women scientists by providing them with the opportunity to conduct advanced research in top-tier Spanish institutions. The program emphasizes scientific excellence, innovation, and the development of research that contributes to Africa’s progress. It encourages participants to produce work that has measurable social or economic impact, supporting advancements that can be transformed into products, patents, services, or public policies.
Monthly stipend: €1,976 (net)
Travel allowance: Up to €1,800 for round-trip airfare
Visa reimbursement: Up to €400
Additional support for attending seminars or conferences
Must be a woman of African nationality and residency
Hold a PhD in a relevant scientific field
Have an active contract with an African university or research institution
Proficient in English; Spanish is a plus
Can apply to only one fellowship, but may list two preferred host institutions
