About FASPE Design and Technology Fellowship
Opportunity Details
FASPE Design and Technology (D&T) Fellows examine the motivations and conduct of technologists and designers in enabling and executing Nazi policies. FASPE then draws on these historical examples to help D&T Fellows grasp their role and responsibilities as designers of built environments; and to encourage them to identify and confront ethical issues currently facing architects, engineers, designers, and other technologists today.

- The Design & Technology Fellowship program is fully funded.
- Fellows will travel alongside Business and Law Fellows, allowing them to deepen their understanding of professional roles through shared meals, activities, and multidisciplinary seminars.
FASPE Design and Technology Fellowship Requirements
- Applicants must be actively having a career in architecture, design, computer science, data science, engineering, or a similar field.
- Applicants must fall into one of the two categories listed below:
- Be enrolled in a graduate program in design, architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, computer science, statistics and applied math, electrical engineering, or a closely related field at the time of application, or
- Have completed their undergraduate degree and have been working in the associated fields for five years
- FASPE wants Fellows who are about to begin their professional careers and are interested in engaging in discussions with their fellow Fellows and instructors.
- Those have the intellectual and emotional maturity to discuss challenging and contentious matters in small groups professionally and respectfully.
