The Applied Mathematics School (AMS) is a one-week visiting program hosted by the Computer Electrical and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering Division at KAUST. The program is designed to introduce undergraduate and master's students to advanced research topics in applied mathematics and computational science and statistics.
The program covers a wide range of topics at the forefront of applied mathematics and computational science, including:
- The Fractional Laplacian Uncovered
- Modeling Water Waves
- Mathematical Biology: Modeling and Analysis
- The Mathematics of Price Formation

KAUST Applied Mathematics School Requirements
- Be a national of any country.
- Be a recent graduate, a senior undergraduate, or a current master’s student.
- Have a background in mathematics, statistics, physics, or a related field.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or higher.
- Have strong English language skills.
