- Project Duration : Minimum 12 months, starting on November 1, 2025 and ending no later than August 31, 2027.
Benefits of Mediterranean Basin Biodiversity Hotspot
- Grant Amount : USD 15,000 to USD 40,000.
- Total Amount Available : USD 600,000.
Mediterranean Basin Biodiversity Hotspot Requirements
- Eligible Countries : Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cabo Verde, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Montenegro, Morocco, North Macedonia, Palestine, Tunisia.
Areas of Intervention
Proposals must align with one of the two strategic orientations of the CEPF Investment Strategy for the Mediterranean Basin :
- Coastal Biodiversity Conservation : Supporting local partnerships for globally significant coastal biodiversity, including Marine Protected Areas and coastal wetlands.
- Conservation of Threatened Plants : Strengthening civil society engagement in the conservation of threatened plants and plant communities.
Local and national NGOs will be prioritized.
