The Chevening British Library Fellowships are aimed at mid-career professionals, academics, and researchers who are eager to contribute their expertise on an international stage. Two distinct fellowship streams are currently available, each targeting specific regions and research priorities:
1. Overseas Territories Fellowship
This fellowship focuses on enhancing how the British Overseas Territories in the Atlantic and Caribbean are represented within the British Library’s collections.
Eligible applicants come from territories such as Anguilla, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Montserrat, and others across the region. Fellows will contribute to reshaping narratives and expanding representation within historical archives.
2. Southeast Europe Fellowship
This stream is designed for candidates from Southeast Europe, including countries such as Albania, Serbia, and Turkey.
Participants will work on improving catalogue records, conducting research, and developing accessible guides to better showcase Southeast European collections. The aim is to make these resources more inclusive and easier to understand for global audiences.
