The Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory offers an attractive and international work environment for currently more than 150 staff involved in research, the administration, the library, editing department and IT. They offer challenging tasks with a high degree of individual responsibility and organisational flexibility for everyone from heads of research groups to office manager trainees.
In order to facilitate access to the collection for young researchers from outside Frankfurt, especially from Latin America, who are interested in using this important collection, the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory provides an annual scholarship for a three-month research stay at the Institute.
The eighth call for applications for the "Doucet Scholarship” is open and the deadline for sending applications for a stay is 15 September 2025.
Proposal must be directly related to the monographs and editions of sources that make up the Doucet Collection.
Young researchers, that are currently enrolled in an university may submit proposals on the legal history in early modern Hispanoamerica.
Applications (CV, project description and motivation letter regarding the use of the Doucet Collection) are to be submitted in Spanish or English
