For exceptional young intellectuals who would like to work on a project unrelated to their prior study, the Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation provide a fellowship. Click here to start your application process.
The fellowship’s goal is to encourage those who, like Albert Einstein, not only produce excellent work in their field of expertise but are also receptive to novel, interdisciplinary ideas.
The fellowship entitles the recipient to five to six months of living quarters in the garden cottage of Einstein’s own summer residence in Caputh, Brandenburg, which is conveniently close to Potsdam and Berlin’s intellectual institutions.
The fellow will be required to present his or her project in a public lecture at the Wittenstein Foundation and the Einstein Forum at the conclusion of the fellowship term. Applications for the Einstein Fellowship are not meant for people who want to finish a course of study they have already started.
