About Erasmus Mundus MARIHE Scholarship
The Erasmus Mundus MARIHE Scholarship is a fully funded Erasmus Mundus Joint Master programme in Research and Innovation in Higher Education. It offers a unique two-year study journey across Europe and Asia, covering tuition fees, providing a monthly allowance, and including health insurance. This scholarship is designed for future leaders and change-makers in higher education.
MARIHE is jointly conducted by an international consortium with partners from Austria, China, Finland, Germany, Hungary, India, and Portugal. The programme provides a comprehensive expert perspective on higher education, research, and innovation. Established in 2012, it is a highly selective, global master’s programme that ensures talent defines opportunity, not geography or financial background.
Benefits of Erasmus Mundus MARIHE Scholarship

- EUR 1,400 monthly allowance as a contribution to travel, visa, installation, and subsistence costs
- Includes a worldwide health and accident insurance
- Erasmus+ Student Mobility funding might be available

Erasmus Mundus MARIHE Scholarship Requirements
- You hold a first university degree (3 years in duration) from any discipline.
- You are highly motivated and ambitious about higher education.
- You have sufficient English language skills.
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a first institution in a related discipline (e.g., education, social sciences, economics).
- Applicants must have high proficiency in the English language (TOEFL or IELTS scores are typically needed).
- Applicants from all countries are eligible, but must have resided or carried out their principal activity (studies/work) in a European Programme Country for more than 12 months in the last 5 years
