About Fembol Student Innovation Grant 2.0
The Fembol Student Innovation Grant is an annual initiative designed to identify, support, and fund innovative student-led solutions that address real-world challenges in Nigeria. Through this programme, we seek to empower young innovators by providing funding, mentorship, entrepreneurship training, and business support to help transform promising ideas into sustainable ventures.
Benefits of Fembol Student Innovation Grant 2.0
Successful applicants will receive:
- Cash Prizes: Up to ₦2.5 Million for the top winner. The first runner-up can receive ₦1.5 Million, and the second runner-up ₦1 Million. Seven finalists will share ₦1.4 Million in consolation prizes.
- Free Training & Mentorship: All semi-finalists get access to a two-day virtual Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp. This training covers business planning, marketing, fundraising, legal aspects, and leadership. They also receive dedicated one-on-one mentorship.
- Business Growth Support: The top three winners will get free legal and business registration services (CAC). They will also receive advisory support for up to three months to help establish their businesses.
- Platform to Showcase: Winners will present their ideas at the Fembol Student Innovation Conference in Lagos. This event attracts over 250 attendees, including industry leaders, investors, and media.
- Ongoing Support: Fembol Group and its partners may offer further funding and monitoring for outstanding innovations.
Fembol Student Innovation Grant 2.0 Requirements
Applicants must:
• Be enrolled as an undergraduate in a Nigerian tertiary institution.
• Be between 16 and 24 years old at the time of application.
• Apply individually or as part of a team of 2–4 members.
• Have an innovative idea, prototype, or existing solution addressing a real-world problem.
