The J. N. Derbyshire Trust was established in 1944 by Job Nightingale Derbyshire, a prominent Chartered Accountant in Nottingham, to support charitable activities benefiting the local community.
The Trust is managed by members of the Derbyshire family together with senior professionals who have extensive knowledge of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
The Trust continues to manage its resources in line with the founder’s philanthropic vision, supporting charitable work that benefits people across the local area.
Must benefit Nottingham and Nottinghamshire communities.
Eligible organisations include:
Registered charities
Not-for-profit companies
Community Interest Companies (CICs)
Companies limited by guarantee.
Organisations must have at least two years of filed accounts.
National/regional charities can apply only if they show clear local delivery in Nottinghamshire.
Not eligible: Individuals and large national charities with income over £1 million
