About Immune Deficiency Foundation - Research Grant Program
The Research Grant Program is a funding initiative designed to support clinicians, scientists, and early-career researchers conducting patient-focused research in the field of Primary Immunodeficiency (PI).The programme encourages well-designed, non-commercial research projects that generate new knowledge and improve the diagnosis, treatment, disease management, and quality of life of people living with primary immunodeficiency.Only research that demonstrates a clear benefit for PI patients is eligible for funding.

- Awards range from $25,000- $50,000.
Immune Deficiency Foundation - Research Grant Program Requirements
- Open to U.S-based academic researchers in medicine and science conducting non-commercial research.
- Investigators (M.D., D.O., Ph.D., RN) with an interest, or currently pursuing a career, in primary immunodeficiency and research are particularly encouraged to apply.
- Note that medical students, graduate students, residents, fellows, and other professional school students can apply, as long as they have the support of an appropriate mentor. Please ensure that you provide a letter of support from the academic mentor, as well as their NIH biosketch, clearly demonstrating their support for the research project, mentorship, and supervision.
- One-year term.
- Because this program focuses on patient-oriented research on primary immunodeficiencies, no proposals using animal models will be funded.
- No funds are provided for institutional overhead.
- Only one submission per applicant.
