The fellowship is designed to offer participants a reflective, reparative and restorative space where they can continue their work, strengthen professional relationships and build solidarity with other scholars and activists working on health equity. Through engagement with fellow participants and IDS’s extensive global and UK-based networks, fellows will have opportunities to develop new collaborations, expand their skills and explore approaches to advancing health justice.

The 2027 cohort will consist of seven scholars who will engage with one another throughout the residency. This structure is intended to encourage the exchange of experiences, ideas and perspectives among researchers working on health equity.
The opportunity to develop relationships with peers may also help fellows establish new professional connections and explore future collaborative work.
Participants will be in dialogue with scholars and activists connected to IDS’s extensive UK-based and global networks. These connections are intended to create opportunities for solidarity, knowledge exchange and the development of new coalitions.
