About IJP Middle East / Germany Fellowship
The fellowship is intended to enable young journalists to become familiar with the political issues in Germany at an early stage of their career. This raises awareness of aspects of relations between Germany and the Middle East and gives participants a personal insight into mentality, culture and everyday life in Germany and the European Union
Benefits of IJP Middle East / Germany Fellowship
- Each fellow receives a one-time payment of 5,000 euros (stipend money + 1,000 euros travel allowance). The amount is intended to cover most travel, food, and accommodation costs. Scholarship holders are expected to contribute.
IJP Middle East / Germany Fellowship Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be working journalists.
- Be citizens and residents of countries within the Middle East, specifically:
- Egypt
- Jordan
- Lebanon
- Palestinian Territories
- Israel
- Be proficient in English.
