About Kansas State University Division of Biology Scholarship
K-State Biology Scholarship supports research-based M.S. training in ecology, evolution, physiology, genetics, genomics, microbiology, molecular biology, developmental biology and cell biology. The K-State Biology Scholarship funds students with assistantships and tuition coverage as described on the program page.
The program is offered by the Division of Biology at Kansas State University and is research-focused: all students conduct research or fieldwork culminating in an M.S. thesis. The Division provides full financial support via teaching or research assistantships and offers healthcare and in-state tuition eligibility.

Kansas State University Division of Biology Scholarship Requirements
- Applicants must have a BS or equivalent 4-year undergraduate degree completed by the time they begin graduate studies.
- We do not require a specific undergraduate major or GPA, but successful candidates will demonstrate core disciplinary knowledge of the life sciences.
- Applicants are expected to have research experience and clearly stated research interests.
- Admission requires finding matches between applicants and faculty mentors; mention faculty contact or matching research interests in your personal statement.
- For international applicants the Division expects a TOEFL IBT of at least 100 or an IELTS score of at least 7.0.
