About Kyushu University - ADB–Japan Scholarship
Kyushu University provides unique education and research programs through the Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Sciences. The International Graduate Program is a special program that is entirely taught in English in both the Master's and Doctoral courses. This program has been available since October 1994 and leads to a Master of Science(M.Sc) or a Doctor of Philosophy (Agricultural Science) degree upon completion.

Kyushu University - ADB–Japan Scholarship Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be nationals of an ADB borrowing member country
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 16 years of education)
- Have at least two years of full-time professional work experience
- Be under 35 years old as of January 15, 2027
- Demonstrate English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent)
- Be in good health
- Commit to return to their home country for at least two years after graduation.
- Have no prior overseas study experience and income under US$25,000 per year
Application Date and Process
- Contact a potential supervisor at Kyushu University before applying.
- Submit the Online Entry Form between November 1 and 30, 2026
- If shortlisted, submit all required documents to the supervisor for official processing.
- Wait for final confirmation from the Student Affairs Division.
