The LAWPRO Small Grants and Events Scheme provides funding to community groups in the Republic of Ireland for small-scale projects, events, and initiatives aimed at protecting and promoting water quality. The program complements LAWPRO’s larger open calls by supporting grassroots, community-led actions that raise awareness, encourage conservation, and enhance water-related education.
Typical grants range from €100 to €500, with higher amounts considered if additional assessment criteria are met.
All applications must demonstrate good value for money and a direct connection to water quality or water awareness.
Funding is provided case-by-case and depends on availability of funds in 2026.
Eligible applicants include:
Not-for-profit community and voluntary groups
Rural and urban networks
Environmental NGOs, clubs, associations, and other appropriate bodies
Applicants must be based in the Republic of Ireland.
Individuals are not eligible.
Applicants are required to consult their local Community Water Officer before submission.
Consult Community Water Officer: Ensure project aligns with local water priorities.
Prepare Proposal: Outline objectives, activities, expected outcomes, and budget.
Submit Application: Include all supporting documentation and clearly demonstrate relevance to water quality or awareness.
