About Mahasarakham University Inbound Scholarship
MSU Inbound Scholarship 2027 supports international undergraduate and graduate students to undertake internships, academic exchange, or research activities at Mahasarakham University. MSU Inbound appears as part of two programs (Inbound and Outbound) for Academic Year 2026–2027, with activities lasting at least 30 days and up to one academic semester.
Mahasarakham University (MSU) is the provider and has allocated 40 scholarships for the Inbound program in Academic Year 2026–2027. The university also operates an Outbound Scholarship for MSU students and manages applications through faculties/units and the International Affairs Group, Division of Public Relations and International Affairs.
Benefits of Mahasarakham University Inbound Scholarship
- The University allocates scholarship support of up to THB 150,000 per faculty/unit.
- Funding for individual participants is reimbursed according to actual expenses and is subject to the maximum rate specified for each destination group.
- Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Vietnam — 20,000฿ per trip/person
- Republic of Korea, Japan, Singapore, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong SAR — 60,000฿ per trip/person
- Other countries in Asia not included in Groups 1 and 2 — 40,000฿ per trip/person
- Countries in Europe, Africa, North America, South America, and Australia — 120,000฿ per trip/person
- MSU Inbound: total of 40 scholarships allocated for Academic Year 2026–2027.
- MSU Inbound: THB 5,000 per month when MSU provides accommodation within the University.
- MSU Inbound: THB 9,000 per month when the University is unable to provide accommodation.
Mahasarakham University Inbound Scholarship Requirements
- Applicants must be current MSU undergraduate or graduate students and must not complete their studies before or during the scholarship-supported activity.
- Applicants must have an acceptance document from an overseas organization or institution.
- Applicants can demonstrate sufficient English or destination-country language ability.
- Applicants should be able to cover expenses beyond the amount supported by the University.
- Undergraduate applicants must have a GPA 3.00 or above.
- Graduate applicants must have a GPA 3.50 or above.
- Applicants must also have satisfactory conduct and a medical examination result from a certified hospital.
- Applicant must be international undergraduate or graduate students currently studying at an overseas university recognized by the relevant educational qualification accreditation authority in their country.
- Applicants must have sufficient English proficiency or proficiency in another language as required by their MSU academic advisor.
- Applicants must maintain health and accident insurance covering their entire stay in Thailand; the insurance is the responsibility of the scholarship recipient.
Application Date and Process
- Required documents specified in the announcement include the scholarship application form, academic transcript, acceptance document from the overseas host organization or institution, an English-language Statement of Purpose, a medical certificate, and evidence of health and accident insurance.

- Applications must first be submitted through the applicant’s affiliated faculty or unit for preliminary consideration before being forwarded to the International Affairs Group, Division of Public Relations and International Affairs, Mahasarakham University.
- The application periods are divided into four rounds: now–October 15, 2026; October 15–December 31, 2026; January 1–March 31, 2027; and April 1–May 31, 2027.
