The competition rewards top-performing solar enterprises, boosts innovation across Africa, and connects businesses with funding and policy networks.
1st Prize: $10,000
2nd Prize: $5,000
3rd Prize: $2,500
Equalisation Award: $4,000 for the best woman-led competitor.
Winners will also present at the Sustainable Energy Forum (ESEF), gaining exposure to investors, policymakers, and development partners.
Open to entrepreneurs, start-ups, SMEs, and larger companies in the off-grid solar sector.
Participants must operate in one of the 19 ROGEAP project countries (including Republic of Benin, Republic of Cape Verde, Burkina Faso, Republic of Côte D’Ivoire, Islamic Republic of The Gambia, Republic of Ghana, Republic of Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Republic of Liberia, Republic of Mali, Republic of Niger, Nigeria, Republic of Senegal, Republic of Sierra Leone, and Republic of Togo).
