About Rwanda Biomedical Centre - Malaria Molecular Surveillance Scholarship
The Malaria Molecular Surveillance Scholarship 2026 in Rwanda offers a unique opportunity for Master’s students to contribute to national malaria control efforts. Funded by the Gates Foundation and hosted by the Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), this scholarship supports research in molecular diagnostics, drug resistance, genomics, and health economics. Successful candidates will join a national surveillance platform generating evidence to inform policy and eliminate malaria.

Rwanda Biomedical Centre - Malaria Molecular Surveillance Scholarship Requirements
- Be a Rwandan national
- Demonstrate proficiency in English
- Be willing to comply with project requirements
- Be willing to enroll in a local or regional university (preferred)
- Have secured admission, or be planning to secure admission, to a Master’s program before the September intake
- Submit proof of admission status and the fee structure for the proposed academic program
- Indicate preferred research cluster(s) and submit a concise 500-word concept note
