TechGirls is currently accepting applications for its Summer Exchange Program 2026. Interested applicants are encouraged to click here to learn more about this opportunity and apply for it.
The TechGirls program is about empowering young women (ages 15–17) from the United States and 37 countries worldwide to pursue education and careers in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and math).
Covers visa fees, international and domestic airfare, housing, meals, local transportation, educational/cultural events, and emergency health insurance.
Accommodation: dorms at Virginia Tech and hotels in Washington, D.C.
Applicants must:
Be citizens and residents of eligible countries (listed across Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, and the Americas).
Be 15–17 years old at the start of the exchange (born between July 12, 2008, and July 11, 2011).
Show advanced skills and serious interest in STEM, with strong English proficiency.
Commit to community-based projects after returning home.
Still have at least one semester of secondary school left after the program.
Preference given to those with limited or no prior U.S. experience.
