About The EEP Africa Rising Energy Leader
The Rising Energy Leader award shines a spotlight on young professionals who are leading the clean energy transition in Africa. Up to a maximum of five (5) nominees will be selected for recognition. The winners will be announced at the EEP Africa Knowledge Week. A profile of each individual winner will be developed and shared across social media and the EEP Africa website.
Benefits of The EEP Africa Rising Energy Leader
- Selected leaders will be recognized during EEP Africa Knowledge Week 2027.
- Their stories and achievements will be featured through EEP Africa's communication channels, providing visibility and networking opportunities.
The EEP Africa Rising Energy Leader Requirements
- Any young person (no older than 35 years in 2026) who has added value to a project funded by EEP Africa.
Application Date and Process
- Fill out an online application form and upload a copy of your CV (in English) and details about your connection to the EEP Africa portfolio (name of project developer and your relationship to them). Include contact information for one reference (i.e. supervisor, colleague, mentor) from the relevant EEP Africa project developer.
