About The International Organization for Migration under the Accelerating Youth-Led Action in Addressing Climate Mobility in Africa
This programme forms part of the Climate Change and Migration Data Programme (CCMD), supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. Its goal is to empower youth-led organisations to design and implement practical solutions that help people adapt to environmental degradation, disasters, and climate change — whether they stay in their communities, move elsewhere, or are already on the move.
Benefits of The International Organization for Migration under the Accelerating Youth-Led Action in Addressing Climate Mobility in Africa
- The maximum grant available for each selected CSO is equivalent of 15,000 USD in local currency based on IOM monthly exchange rate.
The International Organization for Migration under the Accelerating Youth-Led Action in Addressing Climate Mobility in Africa Requirements

CSO must be officially registered and operating in Africa.

Must be youth-led (majority under 35; project lead under 35 and African national).

2–5 years of relevant experience in community environmental/social projects.

At least one staff member must have completed IOM’s Capacity Building Initiative (Aug–Oct 2025).

Commitment to human rights, accountability, non-discrimination, PSEA (Preventing Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), and data protection principles.

Must propose a project clearly addressing climate mobility in the local context.
Application Date and Process

- Ensure you thoroughly review the application details and eligibility criteria. If your CSO meets the requirements, proceed to prepare the needed documents.
- Complete the application form, providing all requested information, including all required documents.
- Applications will be submitted via email to [email protected].
- The deadline for the applications is Monday, 19 January 2026 6 PM EAT.
- After the deadline, Grant Review Committee will assess the applications against the selection criteria 2.
- The Grant Review Committee will inform the applicants whether their application is selected or not latest by the end of February 2026.
